George Serhan is a senior VLSI engineering director at Fyre Storm, a power management company. George left Bterram in 1973 about a year before the civil war started. He had a second cousin from Douma support in College in Florida where he earned an AA degree at Palm Beach Junior College, then got an BSEE from University of Florida with high honors and a MSEE degree in 1977 and 1978, respectively.
He started his career in Electronics in the very early stages of its development working at Intel from 1978 to 1983. Georges used to write circuit simulators, the heart of the tools that do the simulations of electronic circuits. Circuit Simulators became an industry of its own eventually.
George worked after Intel at Ford Micronelectonics, Microlinear, Cypress Semiconductor, Cadence Design Systems, Neomagic, and now at AMCC.

He has been involved in building the most sophisticated chips in the world that power computers like the early Intel micropressors, to the biggest memory chips at Cypress semiconductor, and the most sophisticated Network Processors that power data through the modern age internet.
While at Cadence, he was involved in the managment of many programs, that are used world wide by semiconductor companies to build their silicon chips.
As for his personal life, after he finished supporting his two brothers get through college, he married a San Jose native: Kathy Buffalo, with whom they got a daughter, whose name is Marissa. Talking about his daughter and his memories in Bterram, George describes:
George Sehan was quoted in research articles on the latest advances that help promote the productivity of designers in building these advanced chips. Following is a list of a few of these:
George's family from L to R: Anisse, Wassim, Fadi, George, Bassam and Ibrahim (mid 60s, shared by George's Family)
"Marissa is a straight A's student, and you would think she is like her father who was one the best wiz kids of Bterram. In my class were Najeeb Kalash who passed away, Antoine Salem, and Michel Sarkis. I had such a great time growing up with these guys, and had a greater time playing doma and waraa with the young me of Bterram. I will eternally be grateful to my Bterram teachers, who taught me and gave me all the support and the best education anyone could possibly have.
I remember my childhood years very fondly, and although I don't visit Bterram very often, I will never forget my Bterram years, and all those who helped make men, the great educators of Bterram"
